What is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy treatment is used for a variety of conditions in our clinic such as wound healing, sports injuries and pain reduction. Laser therapy is a technology which utilizes laser light energy. These particles of energy are selectively absorbed by soft tissue, resulting in the start of a cascade of complex reactions, leading to the restoration of normal cell structure and function. The process is enhances the body’s immune system response, facilitates natural healing and eliminates pain.
Laser therapy technology is completely safe and has no adverse side effects, moreover is highly effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, arthritis, sports injuries, wound healing and a wide range of dermatological conditions.

What is involved in a Laser Therapy Treatment?

Laser Therapy treatment is often quick, pain-free, easy to apply and very effective. Appropriate probes are placed on the skin or relating to the damaged area and light. This is controlled for wavelength, power, pulsing rate and duration passes into the tissue. Treatment will usually take between 15-30 minutes, once to twice per week for 4-6 weeks. Pain management treatment plans can be offered for long term or chronic conditions.
